Janice Cooper

Janice (Jan) Kay Cooper of Des Moines, age 65, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 17, 2018 at home. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa on April 7, 1953 to the late Robert (Bob) and Agnes Garmon.

Jan graduated from Lincoln High School and was employed by Kirke-VanOrsdale, Inc. for many years.
Jan married Kevin Cooper on December 15, 1989 and spent the next 3 decades deeply in love. Kevin and Jan created KMC Construction Company and enjoyed traveling and swimming. Jan was also a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert (Bud) Garmon. She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Cooper; children, Brad Ceretti, Bobby Ceretti, Lonnie (Patty) Ceretti, and Chris Cooper; and granddaughter, Shiloh Cooper.

A memorial service will be held at Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines, on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in honor of Janice.
