David L. Barefield

David Lee Barefield, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 21, 2018.

He was born October 2, 1954 in Great Falls, Montana to Ed and Mary Ann Barefield. He loved his children and his grandchildren above all else. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth, Stacey (Robbie Suarez), and Jessica Barefield; ex-wife, Laura Barefield; grandchildren, Jovanna, Jaxen, Makaio, and Malia; brothers, Ed (Pam), Don (Katie), and Brent (Linda) Barefield; father, Ed (Donna) Barefield; lifelong best friend, Gerald Williams; and his nieces, nephews and godsons. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Barefield.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 27, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at 234 Hart Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50315.
