Ronald A. Weston

Ronald Aldon Weston, 89, passed away May 7, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines.

Ronald was born November 10, 1928 in Sidney, Iowa to Donald and Vera Weston. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service and also from Iowa Power after 20 years of service. He was the co-founder and owner of Commtronics for 15 years. Ronald enjoyed designing and making printed circuit boards, amateur ham radio, constructing rice paper model airplanes and building electronic clocks.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 39 years, Josephine; children, TJ (Mandy) Weston, Casey Weston, Jacy Weston, Ronda (George) Yeager and Ron (Huy) Weston, Jr.; grandchildren, George Jr., Amy, Maddison, Rachel and Shelby; great-grandchildren, Kristen, Caleb, Alex, Taylor, Charlotte, Dante, Shree; sister, Sandy (Dave) Cadwallader; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Janice Weston.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be divided amongst Ronald’s favorite charities.
