Patricia Hamman

Patricia “Pat” Hamman went to be with her husband Jim on what would have been their 68th wedding anniversary, April 8, 2018.

Pat was born April 12, 1930 in Cody, Wyoming to Arvid and Luanna Blackstead.
She was a beloved 50 year member of Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church where she served as church secretary for 25 years. Pat was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed reading and being with her many friends at Prairie Hills where she had resided for the past six years.

Pat is survived by her children, Pam (Craig) Cave, Mike (Betty) Hamman; and Sherri (Rusty) Russell; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim and her daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Preston Hallway.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will follow from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Prairie Hills, 5815 SE 27th Street.
