Service Details
Steven Gwinn Thompson passed away at the VA Hospital on Saturday, April 7. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 12 at 12:30 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines with burial to follow at Iowa Veterans Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Jethro’s in Waukee.
Steven was born September 12, 1947 in Springfield, MO to Donald and Ellen (Ramey) Thompson. He graduated from Springfield High School and served in the Marine Corp from 1967-68 at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA. Steven worked for Leihigh Printing in Chicago, IL until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, comedy, cars, social outings, and his dog Colby.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Thompson; his mother, Ellen Kinnaird; step-daughter, Michelle (Adam Klein) Williams; and his brother, Donald (Kris) Thompson. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Donald Thompson; and step-father, Capt. Martin Kinnaird.

My condolences goes out to the Thompson Family. During these times it's hard to believe that we will be able to see our loved ones again but this hope is real, God assures in the bible that those in the memorial tombs will hear a voice and will come out of them. I invite you to read a scripture that helped me and I hope it can help you in these difficult times (John 5: 28,29)
