Denny M. Hoffman

Denny Micheal Hoffman, 36, was born on February 14, 1982. He passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 8, 2018, at his home in Des Moines.

There will be a visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with a luncheon following at the family home.

Denny attended Ankeny schools and a semester at DMACC. He worked as a plumber’s assistant and was hoping to get into that line of work again. Denny had a wonderful sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He had a gift for being able to talk like cartoon characters. The night before he left us, he sat with his nephews, Xander and Tristan, 4 and 3, reading them a book using his different voices and they were mesmerized by the story.

Denny will be deeply missed by many and in particular his survivors: mother, Connie Hoffman (Des Moines); brothers, J. (Alabama), Cole and Curt (Des Moines); sister, Heather (Des Moines); daughter, Melissa Cossman (Des Moines); and his nephews, niece, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Denny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Betty Anderson and his aunt, Cheri.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a future designation.

Denny’s passing has left a hole in each and every one of our hearts.
