Gary A. Comstock, 49, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018, at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines

Gary was born December 2, 1968, in Clinton, Iowa, to Francis and Roberta (Plambeck) Comstock. He devoted 23 years to military service. He served eight years active duty including one tour in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan. He concluded his service with the Army Reserves. Gary worked for ten years as a diesel technician with TMC.

Gary is survived by his wife of seven years, Lisa M. (Van Ommen) Comstock; three children: Megan Goetz, Danielle Comstock and Jonathan Comstock; two stepchildren: Madison Minser and Lucas Minser; four grandchildren; five sisters and two brothers.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.
