John W. Harper

John W. Harper passed away on February 5, 2018 at the Mitchell Village Care Center.

John leaves behind a loving wife of 54 years, Darlene; two children, David and Scott and one grandchild.

John was born on September 26, 1935. After graduating from high school in Mitchellville, he was drafted in to the Army and served for 3 ½ years. He began working at Maytag in Newton, Iowa and retired from that company in 1991.

John will be cremated and a private graveside family service will be held at a later date this spring in Mitchellville.
