Ricky Lee Naylor

Ricky Lee Naylor, 63, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017, at his home in Des Moines.

Rick was born December 2, 1954, in Franklin, Indiana. He was the son of Charles and Ruth (Schmidt) Naylor. He proudly served in the U. S. Marine Corps. Rick worked as an automotive mechanic for many years and also remodeled homes. He had a passion for racing and he loved stock cars and NASCAR. Rick loved life and especially the Christmas holiday season.

Rick is survived by his wife of 17 years, Marcia; daughters, Tabetha (John) Berry and Shelly (Brian Lupo) Edwards; grandchildren, Jordan Edwards, Michael Romore Jr. and Dakota McHargue; and his sister, Melanie Rosenburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Naylor.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. A celebration of life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Iowa Events Center, 730 3rd Street, Des Moines.
