Sisavane Phichit

Mr. Sisavane Phichit, age 67, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017, at his home in Des Moines.

Sisavane was born August 12, 1950, in Ban Saphay, Laos, to Naly and Khamphane Phichitchaleunsak. He worked as a welder for 25 years. Sisavane enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family, and hosting parties for family and friends, listening to music and singing. He was a member of Lao Friendship Association of SE Iowa, Luang Prabong Association of Minnesota, and the Lao Buddhist Temple

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Chem Chanh Phichit; son, Chansavang Phichit; mother, Naly Phichitchaleunsak; brothers, Samsanith, Sonthipanya, Sisomphane (Jimmy) Phichit, Sisamane Phichit Chareunsak, Si Soukane (Kuba Sack) Phitchleum, Sak and Sisavanh Phichit; sisters, Samlane Phichit, Bouabane Thongthepsompkou; brother-in-law, Vethany Manivanh; extended family members and friends within the Laotian Community.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, and will be followed by cremation.
