Remie Harris

Remie Harris, 61, passed away at home surrounded by his family on December 7, 2017. He was born June 6, 1956, in Des Moines, to Alan and Judith Harris.

Remie married Lana Gray on February 18, 2006.

Remie is survived by his wife, Lana; son, Brad Harris; daughter, Mindy (Dan) Wall; granddaughters, Haley, Reagan, Kalena, and Anna; mother, Judy (Dale Frisk) Harris; sisters, Renee (Patrick) Lamb, Lori (Carlos) Dillard, and Lynnette Harris; nieces and nephews, Christopher (Leslie) Lamb, Caleb Harris, Kady Wolk, Breezy Dillard, Kyle Gray, Christina Gray, and Michelle Gray; one great-nephew and three great-nieces; mother-in-law, Janet Gray; brother-in-law, Bill (Dina) Gray; as well as many extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Alan; nephew, Bobby Wolk; and father-in-law, Robert Gray.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League or UnityPoint Hospice in loving memory of Remie.
