Donald Townsley

Donald Gene Townsley passed away on November 11, 2017, at the age of 88. He was born November 2, 1929 to Clyde and Mae Townsley in Cranston, Iowa.

He retired from Hiland Potato Chips and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was known for always having a smile on his face.

He is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Shirley Holmes (friend Donn Henderson), Julie Townsley (friend Ron Stainbrook); his son, Donald (Kari) Townsley; his 7 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife DeLoris, daughter DeeAnn Israel, his parents, his son-in-law Ronald Holmes, his grandson Brandon Townsley, granddaughter Dori (Israel) Tamiriz, all his brothers and sisters, and his companion Joyce Hayes.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens. Graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, November 17, 2017, at Pine Hill Cemetery NE 54th and 6th Ave.
