Raymond "Randy" Baker

Randy Baker, 64, passed away peacefully at his home on November 4, 2017. He was born June 8, 1953, in Winterset, IA to Raymond and Ethel Baker.

Randy had a great sense of humor. He loved everybody and they loved him in return. Randy enjoyed traveling, reading, and puzzles. He treasured the many family get-togethers with lots of outdoor games and board games.

Randy is survived by his sisters, Patricia (Verdis) Williams, Lola Grandstaff, and Sandy (Homer) Cowger; nieces and nephews, Shane (Toni) Millard, Dirk (Christine) Millard, Tad (Marc) Millard, Kathy (George) Schuette, Gary (Mary) Williams, Cheri Grandstaff, Cindi (Tony) Lee, Darrin Cowger, and James (Sharon) Cowger; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ethel (Still) Baker; sister, Beverly Roberts; his brother-in-law, Gary Grandstaff, and nephew, Mark Williams.

A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
