Michael Harding

Michael Victor Harding of 6704 N 57th Street, Omaha, NE passed way in the early morning hours of October 9, 2017, at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny, Iowa. He came to Sunny View in Ankeny so that his family could be with him at the end of his life.

Michael Harding age 66 was born on October 23, 1950, in Sioux City, Iowa. He was the youngest son of William and Marie Harding. Mike was a lifelong resident of Omaha, Nebraska, graduating from North High School in Omaha.

Michael worked as a painter most of his life, he loved being outdoors, fishing, boating and enjoying nature. Mike always had, as a trusted companion, a German Shepherd named Luke.

Michael is survived by his brother, Bob Harding of Ankeny, Iowa; nephews, Jeff (Natalie) Harding of Colfax, IA, John (Kristin) Harding of Johnston, IA, Tommy Harding of Ft. Wayne, IN and Michael Werblow of Plattesville, MO; nieces, Jennifer (Shawn) Harding-Stewart and Kim (Gary) Werblow-Scott, as well as great nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Harding; his older brother, William Harding; as well as three devoted German Shepherds.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, October 14th at Resurrection Section – Holy Angels Mausoleum – Catholic Cemeteries, 7710 West Center Road, Omaha, NE. Lunch will follow.
