Ted E. Thorne

Ted E. Thorne, 76, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Valley View Village in Des Moines.

Ted was born January 11, 1941, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Forest and Renee Thorne. He graduated from North High School in 1959. Ted worked as an electrician, retiring in 1999, and was a member of IBEW Local 347. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.

Ted is survived by his children, Lynette Cipale, Tim Thorne (Kelly) and Lisa Davis (Ray), grandchildren, Kalyn and Eleanor Thorne, Kurt Cipale and Austin Grimm, and brother, Jerry Thorne (Bernice). He was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Renee Thorne.

There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a celebration of life at 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 9, 2017, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
