Carol Testa

Carol Testa passed away September 16, 2017, in Des Moines, IA. She was born November 20, 1942, in Rhinelander, WI to Wesley and Irene Larson.
Carol was an educator for the Des Moines Public Schools. Throughout her career, she taught at Merrill, Harding, and Central Campus, and retired from Lincoln High School. She was a member of Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny and the bike club, The Chain Gang, we “brake” for food.
Carol was an avid bridge player and bicyclist, but above all else, she loved spending time with her family.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Bert Testa; sons, Kevin Scott Testa, Travis James Testa, and Mark Andrew Testa and his wife, (Brea); five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Cindy O’Keefe and Linda Larson; as well as other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dawn Hartwig and Nancy Imse.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 510 E. 1st Street in Ankeny.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in loving memory of Carol.
