Lesley May Enos

Lesley May Enos, age 66, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, September 9, 2017, following a lengthy illness.

Lesley was born June 3, 1951, to Wesley and Mary Enos, Sr. She graduated in 1969 from Des Moines East High School and worked as an office manager for Pittsburg Paints for many years. Later she worked as a motor route driver for the Des Moines Register and Tribune.

Lesley is survived by her brother, Wesley (Sandy) Enos, Jr.; nephews, Donnie (Trudy) Carpenter, Wes Enos III, Joe (Amy) Gerk and Josh Gerk; nieces, DeAnn (Bob) Shortt, Alyson (Mike) Baldwin and Nicole Gerk; and 14 great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters, Mary Carpenter and Shirley Gerk, and her beloved companion, Kitty.

There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m., Thursday, September 14, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
