Alex Moriel

Juan “Alex” Moriel, 28, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on September 5, 2017, due to complications of cancer.

Alex was born August 28, 1989, in Mason City, Iowa, to Tokie and Juan Moriel. He was raised in Des Moines, Iowa. Alex had a passion for cars and used his artistic talents to detail them. He was a good family man and he loved his children unconditionally.

He is survived by his mother, Tokie; sisters, Micaela and Ericka; wife, Jessica; children, Giovanni, Juan Jr., and EllieAnna; grandmother, Elida; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

A celebration of life with a red balloon release will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at McHenry Park, 1012 Oak Park Ave, Des Moines, beginning at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
