Mary Wilson

Mary Leota Wilson, 93, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Taylor House Hospice.

Mary was born August 22, 1924 in Des Moines to Caleb and Grace Wilson. She was a lifelong Des Moines resident and was an Artist at Woltz Studio for over 25 years. She also worked at Strauss Lock for five years before retiring in 1991.

Mary is survived by her siblings, Caleb (Shirley) Wilson, Bill Wilson and Jim (Gladys) Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alfred and Robert Wilson; sister, Oralmay Wilson and sisters-in-law, Leota and Shirley Wilson.

The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. She will be laid to rest at North River Cemetery in Warren County.
