Shirley Clark

Shirley Cousins Clark, age 82, passed away of cancer at home surrounded by her loved ones on August 3, 2017. Shirley’s body was donated to Des Moines University and a Celebration of Life will be held Monday, August 7, 2017 from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, IA.

Shirley was born to Bert and Betty Cousins on January 13, 1935 in Cromwell, Iowa. While living in Mingo, Iowa, she met and married Hilster Clark in Des Moines, Iowa on January 6, 1954. She loved gardening, fishing, cooking, baking and going to Prairie Meadows.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 63 years, Hilster; daughters, Deb Carr, Jeanni Bain and Cindy (Dean) Morrison; sisters, Betty Stark and Joyce Burkhead; 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
