Beverly Howe

Beverly Lee Howe was born April 13, 1944, in Orilla, Iowa, the daughter of Clifford and Aletha (Harrison) Shutt. She passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 73.

There will be a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 21, 2017, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.

Beverly was a lifelong, proud Eastsider. She enjoyed going to garage sales, listening to country music, and honkey-tonkin’. She followed Joel Osteen Ministries and liked to travel. She will be fondly remembered for her love of gossip.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Richard) Gruver, Sherri (Richard Jones) Ratcliffe, Karla Jones and Cindy (Mark) Ford; sister, Barbara Pater; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; companion, John Hammontree; and other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Howe; daughters, Terri Ratcliffe and Laura Howe; and son, Gary Jones.
