Helen Miller, age 59, passed away on July 11, 2017 at her home. She was born on October 22, 1957 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Helen worked many years at the main Goodwill plant where all of the sorting of goods would take place. She enjoyed having sleepovers with her granddaughter, Chloe, watching movies, and her soap operas. Helen also had a passion for country music and horseback riding. Above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Glenn Miller; daughter, Niki Miller; grandchildren, Chloe Nuehring and Adair Cooper; siblings, Paula (Rodney) Lowe, and James Yates; and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ann Yates; step-dad, Carl Robb; her in-laws, Glenn and Iona Miller; siblings, Ruth Ann Yates and Ann Marie Yates.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1548 8th St., Des Moines. Family will host a memorial cookout in Helen’s honor at a later date.
