Doris Pauline Campbell

Doris Pauline Campbell, 93, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. She was born March 21, 1924 to Joseph and Nell (Benton) Finnegan in Panora, Iowa.

Pauline was a member of Walnut Hills United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling the world and camping trips in an Airstream travel trailer. She loved growing flowers and was a super fan of the Chicago Bulls, never missing a game on television.

Pauline was known to bless the lives of others through her cookies and baking. Above all else, she cherished her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and their time spent together.

Pauline is survived by her son, Allen (Rita) Campbell; daughters-in-law, Pat Campbell and Kathy Campbell; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Hartley, Phyllis Watkins, and Marlene Johnson; as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; sons, Bob and Ron Campbell; parents; sister, Naomi Morgan, and granddaughter, Wendy Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated to a charity close to Pauline’s heart at a later time.
