Funeral services for Karole Ann Burt will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines. Visitation will be held at Hamilton’s from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 16th also at the funeral home.

Karole was born on December 17, 1932 and went home to Heaven on May 11, 2017. She was a life-long resident of Des Moines and member of Grandview Park Baptist Church. She served the Lord for many years as a Sunday School teacher, Awana leader and Vacation Bible School teacher. She was a wife for 49 years and mother to 5 children and assorted dogs, cats, rabbits and turtles. Karole was a fantastic cook and she loved her family. She had not been able to walk for many years but her faith was strong and she was ready and anxious to go to her heavenly home. She will be missed but we rejoice in knowing she is now resting in the arms of her beloved Savior and is able to walk with Him down the streets of Heaven.

Karole is survived by her daughters Jill (Jeff) Clothier and Heidi Hall; sons Chuck (DeeDee) Burt, TJ Burt, Dick Burt Jr; sister Darleene (Merle) Wilhite; grandchildren Jessica, Amanda, Carrie, Beth, Amy, Emily, Chad, Holly, Colby, Jonathan, Nathan, David, Noah, Alexandra, Elijah, Caleb, Rick, Samantha, and Alex; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Karole was preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Anna Kesterson; brothers, Norman, Steve, Robert, and John Kesterson; and sister, Martha Harban.
