Kimberly Kernes

Kimberly Kernes, 37, passed away on March 24, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born June 19, 1979, in Des Moines to Stephen Edwards and Cheryl Parr.

Kim is survived by her husband, Jimmy Kernes; children, Bradley, Dre, LeAnn, Aidan, and Emma; parents, Stephen (Kathy) Edwards and Cheryl (Cliff) Kirk; sister, Amanda (Dan) McElvogue; nephews, Daniel, Patrick, and Anthony; as well as other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Grandma Edwards, Great-Grandma Parr, Grandpa Parr, and Grandpa Farver.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at the funeral home from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
