Lucille Savich

Lucille Savich passed away peacefully at Altoona Nursing and Rehab on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the age of 89. She was born in Orient, Iowa, to Noah and Ella Sheehan on September 25, 1927.

Lucille loved taking walks, playing bingo, and fishing.

Lucille is survived by her son, Richard Gooden (Janice) of Des Moines; daughter, Linda Cairns (Ken) of Bondurant; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma Sanders and Joann Kenworthy; as well as her loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Dale Gooden and Joe Savich; brothers, Bill, Floyd, Bob, and Kenny Sheehan; and a sister, Darlene Peterson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to express a special thank you to everyone at UnityPoint Hospice and Altoona Nursing and Rehab for the love and care Lucille received the last two years of her life.
