Service Details
Howard Hart, 96, passed away on February 16, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. He was born in Des Moines, on February 15, 1921 to C. Bernard and Etta (Chelsvig) Hart.
Howard worked for Mid-7 and was a WWII Veteran serving in the Philippines. He graduated from East High School in 1939. Howard was a game player, especially dominoes.
Howard is survived by his sons, Howard (Susie) Hart Jr., Ronald (Bonnie) Hart and daughter Barbara (Lavern) Witt; grandchildren, Matt, Mike and Sara Hart, Wendy Hart, Cory and Ryan Witt and Lindsey Nelson; 9 great grandchildren and many beloved family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Praying for comfort for the family knowing that Howard is rejoicing in the presence of his Savior. Howard was my Sunday school teacher growing up at Grandview Park Baptist Church. He was a Godly example for us young people. Great memories that have been left to cherish.
