William E. Brewer, 75, passed away December 9, 2016 at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa. A memorial service will be 11 AM Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines, with burial at Iowa Veterans Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
William was born October 5, 1941 to Juanita and Plute Brewer. He was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. He was a truck driver for Mail Contractors of America, and was in the United States Army.
William is survived by his son, David Brewer; his daughter, Jo Worral; and 2 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to his family in loving memory of William.

I am very saddened about the passing of Bill Brewer, he was a very close person in my life for several years. I remember bill teaching me how to drive, having me drive interstate 80/35/235 in Des moines during the iowa state fair. He was a good guy and will be missed dearly.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Bill. He was a good guy and I liked him a lot...he called me "Jimmy". I worked with Bill for six years with MC Of A And for the last 12 years I would see him at the post office Bulk mail center. Bill will be greatly missed. I want to express my deepest sympathies to all of Bill's loved ones.

I was very saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He and I worked together at American Can Co in the seventies. At MCA we ran team runs together. We would go target shooting and just hang out together. I will miss him. He was a good man .
