Lorinda Jiles

Lorinda Lee Jiles, 60, was born September 24, 1956 in Phoenix, Arizona and passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. No services are planned at this time.

Lorinda married Edwin Jiles in Torrance, California on February 1, 1981. The couple adopted their daughter, Stephanie Christine on September 29, 1985. Lorinda worked for the US Postal Service. They lived in California until 1998 when they moved to Iowa, where Lorinda worked for the Des Moines Public Schools in Food Service. She loved animals, especially cats and was known by her many friends as the “Cat Lady”.

Lorinda is survived by her husband, Edwin Jiles; daughter, Stephanie; sister, Judith Kay Davis; and her four cats, Parker, Callahan, Foster and Khitti.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacquelyn Bruce.
