I miss you, daddy. I hope and pray I will handle all of this in a way that makes you proud. You've taught me strength, but you never taught me how to be strong enough to accept you being gone. Your service will be small and intimate with only the people who meant the most to you, and I know you'd love that. I'll always be your baby girl. I love you and I miss you so, so much.

Ive known Ray for about 20yrs. Years ago we had a couple of drinks together, and shot thousands of games of pool together at Gene's on Des Moines's east side. He was always a straight up guy with me. We laughed a lot whenever and wherever we hung out. Even when I was a twenty- something year old kid, he never treated me like a kid. I liked that a lot. Im proud to say I was his friend, and he was mine. RIP Ray

I had the pleasure of meeting Ray (Pops) Wimber almost 20 years ago and indeed he was a good pool player. My memory of Ray is that he was a good man with a big heart and I really don't know that he had a mean bone in body.
I was there when he met his side kick (Lisa) nearly 20 years ago also. He was very happy and content with her at his side.
While I don't know Missy, Laura or his grandson. I will tell you he was very proud of all of you.
My heart and Soul goes out to all of his family and loved ones,
Raymond, I'm sure they have pool tables, motorcycles and fishin' poles up North there to keep you occupied. Who knows Ray there might even be a slot machine or two. But I'm sorry to say ole buddy, I hear the machines only take fun money.
So hold on my friend I'll be seeing you one day. Peace be with you my brother.
Lisa, I'll see you soon. I'm sure there will be plenty of laughter and tears involved reminiscing about our friend "Pops".

I didn't know Ray well, but I have a good memory about him. Ray was in my gym class when I was a sophomore and he was a senior at East. He would jump on the trampoline nearly every day and I enjoyed watching all the stuff he could do. He was amazing on that trampoline. Sorry for your loss, may he rest in peace.
