Joey as "I" always called him has alway's been one of my best friends since long before Blackstone's was ever built. We met one day when he came to what was then his hang out with Friends "Favorite", Rock's Roadhouse, where my wife Colleen and I Managed and Operated. I can't make to the services as I'm now living in Las Vegas. To all of the familly, I can't begin to hold back the tears while telling you about the fondest memories I now possess of ANY best friend I have EVER had. What a pal, he was awesome, kind, generous, lot's of fun and laughs, and friend I counted on many times for many reasons, and he was ALWAYS there for me. Several of us from time to time went to our "secret" fishing pond's and we all fished in in own way's, but Joey was always the one who would cast out the farthest of any of us, (using around 2 lbs.of sinker's), I will long remember him, but from a humorous perspective I'll NEVER forget Joey's unique "wind up & cast"!!! God Bless you Pal. Love ya Man!

So many great memories, Joe--Don't even know where to begin. From your first care package to Larry when he had surgery, (your famous pasta dish), to fishing, to grilling, to the last time we saw each other. So many years of great memories! A true friend. You will be missed!

I am sadden by the news of Joe's passing. I spent many days and nights at Joe's house when I was younger. I remember he would always tease Heather about his old car he was going to let her drive, he called it the Hebs mobile. He could be a tough dad but he always loved his girls and at times he even liked their friends. Heck I still have the Mickey Mouse T-shirt he brought me back from Kansas City. He will be missed by many but forgotten by none who knew him.

A great loss for our daughters, grand-children and great-grand son. It reminds me of something I was told several years ago, that we were all Gods children, we did not get to pick our parents but we're a gift to them and not theirs to keep. We were on loan and God could take us back when he was ready for us to come home. His children are not ours to keep at any age. I know Joe has been taken home he spoke to his daughters of a message revealed by angles.Rest in pease, Joe

We will all miss you brother Joe. You always had such a great a great sense of humor. Your meat balls were the best and you were pretty good with the fire arms and fishing poles. God Bless and keep your powder dry until I catch up. Love you brother John

We were so saddened to hear of the death of Joe. He has been a great friend to us for many years. We will always remember the Italian meals that he cooked for us. They were so very good! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time of sadness. We will watch the newspaper for the upcoming services.
