Mable B. Torres, 85, passed away August 25, 2016, at Windmill Manor in Coralville, Iowa. She was born in Naytahwaush, MN on August 31, 1930, to Harry and Bernice Curran.
Mable grew up in MN, raised her family in New Jersey, and moved to Iowa in 1987. She loved traveling, gardening, making cinnamon rolls, and quilting.
Mable is survived by her children, Donna (Don) Harrity and Mary (Jim) Freel; grandchildren, Sean and Erin Harrity, Megan and Emma Freel; sisters, Sarah Smith and Barbara Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Israel Torres; 12 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Runnells Christian Church, 309 Brown St, Runnells, with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Lowman Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Mable Torres.

What can I say. My Aunt Mabel and Uncle Is were my second parents while I was growing up. We lived with them, ate with them, cried with them, and laughed with them. Donna and Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. I loved your Mom & Dad more than you can imagine. Aunt Mabel. Rest In Peace, say Hi to Uncle Is. We love you.

Dear Family, I was so glad when I got to meet my great aunt Mable while visiting my mom in CA several years ago. She was such a pleasure and I know she will be missed! Thoughts and prayers go out to each of you! Karmen
