Helen Free, 90, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Fleur Heights Care Center. She was born October 24, 1925 in Des Moines to William and Mabel (Schultz) Fisher. Helen was an avid Yankees fan.
Helen is survived by her son, Raymond (Susan) Free; daughters, Tamara (Pat) Rogers, Carolyn DeVries and Terry (Jerry) McGinnis; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other extended family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; son, Dean; and a great-granddaughter, Kennedy.
The family will greet friends Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. A private family burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
