Gary A. Park, 73, was born September 4, 1942, to Marian and Vivien Park in Webster City, Iowa. He passed away peacefully on June 29, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Gary is retired but previously worked as a truck driver at Master Halco Fence Company for 16 years and Easter Grocery Store. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Gary enjoyed NASCAR, the Hawkeyes and especially spending time with his family.
Gary is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ardys; sons, Scott Park and Todd (Kim) Park; granddaughters, Jordan and Abigale; sisters, Sandra Payne, Sue (Kyle) Hoover and Leah (Terry) Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Gary was preceded in death by parents and brother, Robert Park.
A private family interment took place at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Polk County Jail Ministry in loving memory of Gary.

Dear ardys and family. We are truly going to miss gary and his kindness. Plus all the stories we heard over the years. Miss olivia is going to miss her best bud as she puts it and gary helping with her spelling,plus singing to him ,.your such wonderful,friends and neighbors,.our heart goes out to you and your family.
