Maren was born to Mary Ann and Robert K. Hegna on August 27, 1954, in Des Moines, IA. She graduated from Hoover High School in 1972 with her identical twin, Karen Jane. She traveled extensively in her young adulthood and some of her favorite destinations included Italy and Hawaii. Maren and Karen were founding members of the Central Iowa Classic Chevy Car Club that began in 1977. She was very proud of her 1957 Chevy Two Ten. Jeff, my deepest sympathy to you, your wife, and the rest of your family on the loss of your mom! I have many fond memories of coming over to the house on Euclid and having dinner and playing cards with your mom, Karen and Margaret. I also enjoyed your mom and aunt's passion for their classic Chevy and the car shows they attended. The one thing I always remember best is the devilish glint in your mom's eyes when she found something funny. I know this is a small consolation, but I know that your family in heaven are so happy to welcome her home. Cindy Hindes
