Ione B. Grant

Ione B. Grant, 98, was born August 2, 1917 in Baxter, Iowa to Will and Anna (Garrison) Vancise. She passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Valley View Village in Des Moines.
Ione married Jesse Sheehy Grant on April 6, 1940. To this union four children were born. Jesse passed away in 1961.
Ione worked for SuperValu and HyVee before retiring in 1981. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and bowling.
She is survived by her daughter, Millie (John) Rhone of Kansas City, MO; sons, Jim (Linda) Grant of Des Moines, IA, Gale (Sue) Grant of Altoona, IA, and Gary (Denise) Grant of Newton, IA; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Sunday, October 4 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 11 am, Monday, October 5, also at the funeral home, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

May your God be with your intire familey.She was a good person and enjoyed a very long and full life.Her generation lived through many exciting years in our mist.And will leave a great legacy, her children and familey will forever remember. RIP SISTER inlaw.
