David Wilburn Garrison, Sr., 59, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2015. David was born on April 27, 1956 at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He loved to be with his family, going fishing and hunting. Above all his passion in life was working on cars and trucks.

David was preceded in death by his father, James Garrison; mother, Darlene Garrison; and daughter, Jill Garrison May.

He is survived by the love of his life, Laurie Christensen; his daughter, Brandy Robinson; sons, David Wilburn Garrison, Jr., Donavin Dermond, Steven Horrath, and Christopher Horrath; seven grandchildren; his brothers, Randy Garrison and Steven Garrison; and sisters, Helen House and Carol Garrison.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to services.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help alleviate funeral expenses.
