Dale E. Dean

Dale E. Dean, 79, was born October 16, 1935 in Des Moines, the son of Roy and Leona Dean. He passed away at Mercy Hospice Johnston on April 20, 2015.
Dale owned and operated Dean Construction with his sons. He was a member of the Marquisville United Methodist Church. Dale enjoyed building and selling dog houses and loved football, canoeing, camping and bowling.
Dale is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth; sons, Damon (Shawnee Filler) Dean, Dennis (Linda) Dean, and Dayton Dean; grandchildren, Marie Dean, Dakota Dean, Stacie (Ryan) Young, and Heather (Matthew) Wharff; nine great-grandchildren; nephews, Scott and Jason Dean; a host of family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by son, Douglas Dean; and brother, Don Dean.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

It was a nice service so sorry if we were unable to see everyone. The casket was so beautiful. We had never seen one like that before. We want to keep in touch with all of you. For now we send our sympathy.

We are so sorry to hear of Dale's passing. We have loved getting to know you both over the years. Thanks for spending time with us and teaching us all the best table games! We love you and Dale so much and will be praying for you, Liz! We are so thankful to know you, and we sure will miss Dale. Keep looking to God for your strength each day. I'm so sorry to hear of Dales passing, he, along with the rest of the Dean family are among some of my earliest memories, I didn't get to see him much through the years but I thought about him and the rest of the family often, I will continue to do so! You all are in my thoughts and prayers!
