Ruby Smith

Ruby L. Smith, 81, died November 24, 2014 in Des Moines. She was born May 8, 1933 in Booneville, Iowa to Eldie & Alice (Saffell) Lint.

She enjoyed garage selling, going to the “Not New Shop”, cooking and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Ruby is survived by her sisters, Velma Fisher and Mary Hixson; children, Bud (Michelle) Johnson, John Steven Johnson, Diane Grover, Eldie Johnson, Carol Scarberry, Cheryl (Raymond) Luing; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alice & Eldie Lint; four brothers; son-in-law, Bobby; great-grandson, Isaiah Grover; great-granddaughter, Jaden Franklin and her special loved one, Harold Coon.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 28, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home with burial at Booneville Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm prior to the service.
