Voltaire “Frenchy” Senecaut, 101, of Des Moines passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Wesley Acres. He was born on July 10, 1913 to Constant and Maria Senecaut in Kansas City, MO.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Rentals Bait Shop for many years. In his younger years, he also was a coal miner.

Frenchy is survived by his son, Voltaire “Bud” (Madge) Senecaut; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will follow the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
