Bonnie L. Peterson, 51, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston with her family by her side.
Bonnie was born June 17, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa to her parents, Albert and Jean Elings. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Erick; sons, Jeremy (Alexis) and Gregory Peterson; grandchildren, Damion, Savannah, Micayla and Carter; aunt, Luella Frey; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Colby; and sisters, Valerie and Linda.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, October 27, 2014 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Pkwy, West Des Moines. Celebration of life will be 10:00 am Tuesday, October 28, also at the funeral home, with inurnment to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to further Bonnie’s son’s education.
