Lois Clevenger

Lois Marie Clevenger, 64, passed away on October 21, 2014 at home following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Lois was born October 9, 1950 to William and Irene Hansen in Laurel, Nebraska. She graduated high school in Coleridge, Nebraska. After graduation, Lois moved to Omaha to attend business school where she met Edward Clevenger. They were married on July 11, 1970. They were blessed with four children, Matthew (Melissa) Clevenger, Wendy (Ty) Parsley, Peter (Jill) Clevenger and Timothy (Shannon) Clevenger and 12 grandchildren.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Lois is survived by her brother, Earl Hansen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; two grandsons, William and Sebastian; her parents; and her sister, JoAnn.
Lois enjoyed crafts and music. She belonged to the choir and enjoyed special music time in the all of the churches where Edward pastored.
Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Ft. Des Moines United Methodist Church, 6205 SW 9th Street followed by burial at Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
Memorial contributions may be directed Unity Point at Home Hospice or Ft. Des Moines United Methodist Church.
**Please note the construction on SW 9th Street, there is still access to the funeral home from Kenyon off of SW 14th St. and SW 9th Street coming from the north. There is additional parking available in the north grassy lots off of Kenyon. We apologize for the inconvenience.

My thoughts and prayers are will the whole family. We find that the world is small of our cirle of friends that me meet on the journey through life. Glad I could be a part of the whole family experience

Our condolences to you and your families. Lois was a great friend and sweet person. Although the miles separated us, we have fond and happy memories of our times together. May your memories continue to keep Lois close to you and help you with your loss. Love you all....
