Service Details
Kenneth Mabrier, 83, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Mitchell Care Center in Mitchellville, Iowa. Services will be held Friday, October 24, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Family will begin greeting friends at 11:00 a.m. with funeral service scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Des Moines.
Kenneth was born January 7, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa to George and Clara Mabrier. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 57, Eunice; daughters, Janet Collins and Janice Mabrier; four grandchildren; great-granddaughter, Zoey; brothers, George and Carroll; and sister, Nancy McConkey. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alice; and brother, Paul.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I pray your family doesn't fall prey to the "family squabbles" as so many do during this difficult time. This is a time when the bonds of "family" need to be strong in order to pull together during the grieving process. Set aside past disagreements, so together you may celebrate Kenneth's life & mourn his passing. I noticed the name of Kenneth's son, Bruce Mabrier, was not included in his Obituary. Hopefully this was just an oversight that should be corrected. If not, I would hope an apology to Bruce Mabrier would be given. For no one individual's grief is greater or less than another. Your family is in my thoughts & prayers!
