Harvey B. Trotter

Harvey B. Trotter, 90, was born June 5, 1923, in Des Moines, the son of Ernest and Ruth (Stanley) Trotter. He passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014, at VA Central Iowa Health Care Systems in Des Moines.

Harvey served in the Navy and retired from Iowa Beer and Liquor. He loved dogs, going on road trips, camping, baseball, polka music, board games, and coffee.

Harvey is survived by his stepson, Larry Blake; step granddaughter, Lynne Blake; great granddaughter, Alaya Blake; nephew, John Nixon; and former daughter-in-law, Laura. Harvey is preceded in death by wife, Margaretha; stepsons, Lynn Miles and Lanniray Jordan; three sisters; and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
