My condolences to you and your families on the death of Al. I worked with your father at Iowa Power his last twenty two years. I was a young twenty something when I started there and he was like a father figure to me as he was the same age as my Dad.
Al was was such a kind person and always willing to patiently explain things or just offer some kind fellowship.
I met your mom on several occasions as well during company functions and retiree meetings I organized and she too was so cordial. They made a good pair.
What fond memories I have of such a wonderful man. My working days were made brighter because of Al.
My thoughts and prayers are with your families.
