Tuan “My” Nguyen, 44, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
My is survived by his wife, Linh in Vietnam; his daughters, Mercedes and Oanh; his sons, Rich and Bao; his sister and best friend, Liem Pham; and many nieces and nephews, loved ones and friends.
My was born December 31, 1969 in Saigon, Vietnam. He came to the United States in 1992 and settled in Des Moines. He began working in the mail industry to provide for his family. My appreciated all the little things in life. In a way, he never left Vietnam. A smile, a wave, a warm meal, and a Budweiser would overwhelm him with happiness.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
Any contributions will be donated to the Church of St. Peter.
