Lois Jobe

Lois Smith Jobe, 86, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at Unity Point Des Moines Lutheran.

Lois was born October 18, 1927 in Sikeston, Missouri to Lex and Faye Smith. She graduated from Mathews High School in Matthews, Missouri and married Carl Landis Jobe on July 16, 1944 in Blythville, Arkansas. Lois moved to Iowa in 1950. She retired from Fountain West Care Center at the age of 62 after 10 years of service. Lois had a strong faith and believed she would meet Carl in heaven.

Lois is survived by two nephews, a niece and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl on August 23, 2001.

Visitation will be held from 9 -10 a.m, with the funeral service to begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
