Sean E. Newman

Sean Edward Newman, age 36, was taken from this life much too soon on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

Sean was born July 14, 1984 in Des Moines, Iowa to Edward and Cathy (Blackburn) Newman. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved hanging out with his friends. Sean often helped homeless people and found joy in helping others. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially riding bikes. He liked to tinker on bikes, TVs, and any electronics. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his family.

Sean is survived by his children, Cassandra, Jaysean, Stormy, Cathy, Jaxson, Joline, Isabella, and one on the way; father, Edward Newman; siblings, Kim Spencer Kline, Ed (Melissa) Newman, Lynda Jurgens, and Roxanna (Jon) Bailey; uncle, Danny Blackburn; great-uncle, Dick Craig; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cathy Newman; uncle, Mike Blackburn; and grandparents, Lucy and Al Blackburn.

Private family services were held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Sean.
