Condolences for the Family of
Gerald Fehn

When I left the country I tried to ignore my college loans. Gerry told me not to because I would be arrested at the border by immigration. So I paid the loans off. When we moved back to Ankeny in the 90's Gerry became a very good friend because of my sister and brother-in-law. Friday was pizza night and Saturday was clean up the junk day. Luckily I didn't have to do too many junk days because I would go to work to catch up. Gerry always gave me a smile no matter how grim the situation. Love ya man.

Sincerest condolences to the family; I will always remember the loving & thoughtful leadership he provided at OWL in Ankeny and the many trips we took with the OWL clients - he was truly a gift to all of us - he brought love smiles and laughter (even though they were bad jokes I think he laughed the hardest).

For once, the "Trickle-Down" theory worked. Gerry trickled down to Iowa from Canada and landed in my classes at North High School. We also went to Grand View Lutheran Church together. He and Margaret have been my friends for all these years. Gerry will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Gerry didn't know a stranger. and everyone who knew him, loved him. He never failed to ask how you were doing, if you were ok, how someone in your family was, or what was new. He aways left you feeling better, that you were special and that you mattered. His love of family was strong, he called you his P&J! He lived every minute he had breath, and I feel I am a better person for having Gerry to call my friend. The Heavens have gained a bright shining star. God speed, until we meet again....

We gathered as a group last in early September for golf and camaraderie. It was a special time as it always is when life long friends assemble. But now we will only have memories of a man that touched so many people. Gerry was all you could ask for in a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather and a friend. Deepest sympathies to the Fehn family. May God bless Gerry and comfort us all.
