I just got home from the annual conference of the Center for Railroad Photography & Art, where I met Jim and Lynn some years ago. I looked forward to seeing and talking with them again, and was shocked to learn that Jim died recently. My sympathy to Lynn and the rest of Jim's family and friends, and I hope the memories of his warmth and friendliness will help you all through this difficult time.

To say that Jim will be missed is a HUGE understatement. So many happy memories flood my mind of a truly unique soul. I'll bet Jim's spirit is on that last train from Paris right now. So to Lynn and family...may your memories ease the sorrow you (and we all) feel today.

Was very sad to see that Jim had passed. It was always with a friendly smile that he greeted you and then you would have to catch him up on what had been happening since he saw you last. Jim has always been a strong supporter of the town and it will seem strange not to see him walking to the Post office or the Dallas Mutual office each day as he often did. My and Lori's condolences to Lynn, Pam, and the rest of the family. Great friends are hard to find and Jim was a great friend to not only me but many more in the town he loved so much. RIP my friend.

My condolences to the family of James Buckley Fox. I met Jim when he was 5 and I was 4. He and his dad came to my house so our dads could talk politics. From there a fun friendship developed. I shall really miss those telephone conversations when I called James Buckley just to catch with the happenings of Dallas Center and Dallas County. You will be sorely missed dear friend.
